A week after leading a successful National Health Week, the Ministry of Health has taken an historic step in strengthening the nursing profession in Vanuatu. On Wednesday 16 April, the Honourable Minister of Health, John Still Tari Qetu, signed a contract with Professor Debra Anderson, Dean of the Faculty of Health at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), to develop two new nursing programs for the Vanuatu College of Nursing Education (VCNE). This achievement responds to Vanuatu Government’s 100 days plan in addressing health workforce shortage.
