The Ministry of Health (MOH), in collaboration with the Pacific Society for Reproductive Health (PSRH), is hosting a PMNET Refresher Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop from April 28th to May 2nd, 2025, in Port Vila. This workshop brings together officially recognized trainers of the Pacific Maternal and Neonatal Emergency Training (PMNET) program across Vanuatu to refresh and enhance their skills in safe maternal and neonatal care.

The Ministry of Health has announced the constitution of the Inclusive Health Committee (IHC), a significant step towards ensuring that all people in Vanuatu have access to quality and inclusive health services. The IHC aims to improve healthcare accessibility by ensuring that health facilities meet requirements for people with disabilities and that healthcare workers are equipped with the necessary skills to provide inclusive care.
The Ministry of Health reminds parents, guardians, and teachers to continue to support children’s mental well-being, especially those who experienced the 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck Port Vila on 17 December 2024. While physical recovery is important, it is equally essential to help children restore feelings of safety, reduce stress and regulate their emotions.
