Vila central Hospital is the main referral hospital in the country where most of its focus was mainly on curative services and the distribution of medical services in the country. The provision of preventive services is partial which includes mostly awareness on one to one patient and the doctors or nurses.

VCH is situated in Port Vila, Efate, the central part of Vanuatu and providing health services to a population of 78,721 (2009 census) Shefarians (44.2% male and 45% female) as well as many referred and visiting patients from other 5 provinces of Vanuatu.

This report is a brief insight of the VCH Statistical annual report for 2017 where it capture medical and non-medical areas as a part of service provided direct and indirectly in an effective and efficient way meeting the needs of the people of Vanuatu

With regards to health information, the objective of this report is to drive managers and clinicians to;

Be able to take prospective clinical decisions based on the data efficiently.

Forecast and prepare budgets

Strengthen performance of management based on the indicators and other related data.

Evaluate performance target

Certain means of objectives will be carried such as;
Dissemination of data to each ward for clinicians.
Inform Managers, clinicians and support staffs on any unusual trend or pattern of disease.
