About The Symposium


The Vanuatu Health Research Symposium is a forum to highlight health research conducted across Vanuatu by the Ministry of Health and partners, including hospitals and provincial health offices.

The first Symposium was held in 2019 and the second will be held in 2021. There are plans for this to be an annual event.

The theme of the 2021 Health Research Symposium is Research to Impact. It will be held:

Presentations & Posters


People selected for an oral or poster presentation must provide their submissions (Powerpoint files) one week in advance of the Symposium. Templates will be provided. Workshops will be held in advance of the Symposium to assist with poster and presentation preparation.

Everyone wishing to attend the Symposium must register in advance. The cut-off date for registration is 21 September 2021. Registration is free but donations will be appreciated. Funds raised from these donations will support awards for outstanding research.
